Despite some strong defending from Tulla's backs including Dara Ryan,  Tulla were unlucky to concede a goal to leave the half time score at 1-9 to 0-5.

The second half saw Tulla dominate but Wolfe Tones did just enough to keep the visitors at bay adding 1-02 to their tally to leave the final score at Wolfe Tones 2-11 Tulla 1-12.
