A solid team performance saw Tulla through the U15 B final, overcoming Newmarket on a scoreline of 3-11 to 1-09.

Following wins against Crusheen, Tubber and Wolfe Tones, Tulla welcomed Newmarket to Dr Daly Park yesterday morning for the Championship semi-final.

Tulla got off to a slow start with Newmarket taking the early lead 0.3 to no score, however they got settled and came back with a score line of 2.4 -0.6 points lead at half time with goals from Michael Ryan and Sean Withycombe.

With the advantage of a slight wind Tulla started the second half with a goal from Andrew Conheady but Newmarket stayed in the match taking their points.  Tulla gave a great team performance across the field and gave everything in a spirited 2nd half.

As the 2nd half went on Newmarket went for goal but with brilliant saves from Arron Shanahan and a solid defence they made it very hard work for Newmarket who were eventually rewarded with a last minute goal.

Final score was 3.11 – 1.09, a deserved win from the full panel that gave a great performance.

Tulla will be meeting Kilmaley in the final, date and venue to be confirmed
